Why have 20 glasses of affordable wine to choose from when you can have 55? The Marina wine bar and clubhouse Bin 38 aims to please and help its ever-thirsty crowd get the party started. You’ll be able to imbibe primarily new-world wines, and you’ll find detailed—and sassy—descriptions of each. A selection of snacks is served until close, like a winter vegetable tempura of kabocha squash and hen-of-the-woods mushrooms, with a miso beer mustard sauce dip. There are also bigger, meatier plates like braised short ribs, for those who need more than a bowl of truffled popcorn for dinner.

The front bar is quite the scene, while couples and smaller groups try to snag the tables tucked into the alcoves in the back. There are also two heated outdoor areas: a front sidewalk seating area, and a tented back patio, complete with a fire pit.

You can take home any unopened bottle of wine for 40% off (speaking of 40% off, that’s what you can take off any bottles ordered for in house enjoyment on Tuesday nights). Monday through Thursday happy hour is popular, with $6 white or red wines and $4 craft beer on offer.
