Bundle up to visit the Lincoln Park Zoo for their annual ZooLight’s holiday display between now and January 6—and after the show, warm up with the Snow Monkey, a new cocktail named for some of the zoo’s most newest residents. The $9 drink is made with Japanese whisky, spiced pear liqueur, honey syrup, and chai tea. And if you dine in between 5:30 and 10 p.m. you’ll also get a free hot cocoa topped with whipped cream.

Lunch special at Strings Ramen
This Chinatown ramen spot is offering an irresistible cure for the winter chill: Seasonal curry glazed gohan, a Japanese yellow curry mixed with carrots, onions, a soft-cooked egg, red ginger, and sesame seeds served over rice. Available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, the dish is $7.95 plain or $9.95 if you want to add vegetables, turkey, pork belly, or pork loin.

All-you-can-eat shrimp at Ina Mae Tavern & Packaged Goods
Warm up your winter by enjoying some sultry Southern traditions at this Wicker Park ode to the Big Easy. Get your hands dirty with a heaping portion of peel-and-eat shrimp served with corn and potatoes for $35 on Wednesdays, and wash it all down with some New Orleans classics, including $5 Abita Purple Haze and $8 Sazeracs.
