The Climber Sauvignon Blanc blend has a crisp and clean bouquet, but once on the tongue it fills the mouth with lush melon and pineapple flavors—summer in a glass. The 2010 Rte. Blanc is 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc with tropical and citrus notes that are bright and refreshing. The Climber Red’s backbone of Zinfandel is evident in its jammy, spiced-plum bouquet, but the palate deepens with intense flavors of black cherries, bramble fruit and a hint of smoke on the finish. Kit’s Killer Cab merits its name; it won the double gold at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. And Gary’s ImProv Syrah has racked up high points and awards in wine publications for being plush and silky, with milk chocolate and wisps of peppery spice in the nose. Created to pair perfectly with their California wines, Clif Family Winery Mountain Mixes of gourmet fruit and nuts are locally sourced from California. Pairing Tips

* The Climber Sauvignon white retains the brightness of Sauvignon Blanc, but has enough body to stand up to spicy foods

* The Climber Zinfandel pairs with pizza or ’cue, but would cozy up nicely to a hearty rack of lamb—or better yet, venison
