Nick’s Crispy Tacos
A full-scale Mexican restaurant and poppin’ bar/lounge rolled into one, this much-praised Russian Hill joint is a no-brainer for a group Taco Tuesday session. Beat the beginning-of-the-week blues here with their featured special: two-for-$6 soft tacos (choose from five varieties), $2 small chips with salsa and guac, and $2.25 cheese quesadillas.

Taco Shop at Underdog’s
Every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to close, this Sunset sports bar gives patrons something to really cheer for: $2 “street tacos”—choose from carne asada, carnitas, pollo, and veggie, all served with cilantro and chopped onions on corn tortillas—and $3 Tecates. Now who would question a call like that?

Park Chalet Coastal Beer Garden
As the rainy winter weather finally starts to clear up, this scenic beachside venue offers a welcome departure from the typical bar/restaurant/hole-in-the-wall Taco Tuesday scene. Every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to close, this beer garden offers up a selection of tacos for $3.50—the chile verde pork and achiote-marinated cod renditions are not to be missed—plus other deals, including $3 chips and salsa and a damn good $7 margarita.

A Nantucket-themed Mexican restaurant (in the Marina, no less) certainly runs the risk of being dismissed for its bougie-dom. But Tacko delivers the perfect antidote to such impressions with legit $2 “street-style” tacos and $2 Tecates from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. every Tuesday.

Celia’s by the Beach
This beloved, old-school beachfront cantina gets props for going above and beyond the typical Taco Tuesday norm. Sure, you can still get the three-for-$3 house tacos and $2 beer, but the deal here expands to include discounts on specialty items—hello, three-for-$5 carnitas and mango tacos, and a $5 tequila special. See y’all on Tuesday?

If you’re planning on visiting Azucar on a Tuesday, you may want to forget that you’re hitting a “lounge,” and come dressed in your stretchy pants instead, because this one-day-a-week special is all about volume. Twelve dollars gets you all-you-can-eat beef and/or veggie tacos. Ask a couple friends to tag along and order the $25 pitcher of margaritas or $20 bucket of beer and you’ll quickly be convincing yourself that Tuesday is the new Friday.

Good luck finding a more delicious bang-for-your-buck taco deal than the one offered at this Mission District taqueria. From 3 to 5 p.m., their already inexpensive tacos drop down to a dollar each—and just to show how much they really love you, beers go for $2. If you’re frugal and indecisive, this is definitely the spot for you, as their are 12 different meat options to choose from, as well as one of the most enviable salsa bars in town. And okay, yes—technically this is a Monday through Friday happy hour special, so anyone who just can’t abide the idea of a weeklong taco special can always limit themselves to Tuesdays.

While the pastry and baked goods game is obviously strong at this popular and charming Berkeley spot (just try and keep your eyes off those display cases), there’s some serious taco action afoot here as well. On Tuesdays, tacos are $2, with beer and sangria priced at $4 to wash ‘em down.
