Pi Day specials at Chicago French Market
On Thursday, March 14, various vendors at the Chicago French Market will have specials in honor of Pi Day. To celebrate the mathematical holiday, Windy City Dawgs will offer all Chicago-style hotdogs for $3.14; Santullo’s will offer slices of cheese pizza for $3.14 from 2 p.m. to close; and Firenze Street Food will offer any small sandwich for $3.14.

St. Patrick's Day specials at Wells St. Market
On March 16, parade-goers can celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Wells St. Market. Healthy specials at FARE will include an egg sandwich with Nueske’s bacon, caramelized onions, and Havarti; a turkey and sweet potato chili with cornbread; avocado toast with pickled carrots, toasted seeds, and microgreens; and cauliflower and chickpea kale salad. For pre- or post-parade refreshments, snag drink specials at Grand Central Bar like Irish coffee ($6) made with La Colombe brew, Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey, and house-made vanilla cream; Paddy’s Day Punch ($5) with Grey Goose vodka; $5 Irish beers; and $3 domestic beers.

Funkenhausen and Hannah's Bretzel Chef Collaboration Series
The über sandwich makers at Hannah’s Bretzel teamed up with German-inspired restaurant Funkenhausen to kick off their Chef Collaboration Series. Funkenhausen chef Mark Steuer’s limited-edition Oma’s Leftovers sandwich layers braised grass-fed sirloin in a red wine reduction with Wisconsin farmhouse Cheddar cheese and a German-style cucumber salad. The sandwich—served warm on Hannah’s bretzel baguettes with spicy honey mustard and red onion marmalade—is available for $11.29 through the end of March at all Hannah’s Bretzel locations. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Pilot Light, a Chicago nonprofit connecting chefs and teachers to help kids make healthier choices.

$2 Anniversary specials and happy hour at Ella Elli
Celebrate Ella Elli's second birthday on Monday, March 25 when the Italian-Mediterranean restaurant will be offering $2 drinks and food specials along with live music from 4 to 6 p.m. While the anniversary specials are a steal, you'll also find regular happy hour deals every Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Happy hour menus rotate weekly, highlighting a specialty cocktail like the Blood Orange Paloma for $6 and select wines for $7. Additionally, budget-friendly bites like polenta fries with truffle aioli ($6) or shrimp with n’duja, fingerling potatoes, and salsa verde ($8) are also available.

Three-course prix-fixe menu at Walton Street Kitchen + Bar
Gold Coast shoppers, pre-theater diners, neighborhood locals, and anyone looking for a delicious deal can head to Walton Street Kitchen + Bar for a special three-course prix -fixe menu ($38). Offered daily from 4 to 5:45 p.m., the menu features a selection of starters, entrees, and desserts, including chicken orzo soup with garden vegetables and carrot-top pesto crostini; Waygu meatloaf with whipped potato, mushroom, carrot, veal reduction, and thyme; and butterscotch crème brûlée with Maldon sea salt and whipped crème fraîche.

Pizza happy hour specials at Union Full Board
We're gearing up for baseball season, and Detroit-style pizzeria Union Full Board in Wrigleyville has a happy hour special that's not to be missed. Every Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., patrons can pre-game with $10 pizzas and drink specials in the heart of Cub’s territory. Stop by for $7 pours of 20 different wines by the glass and $10 pizzas. There's a broad selection of square-cut pies, like the Corktown BBQ Chicken (juicy barbecue chicken, shaved red onion, and cilantro), the Detroit Michoacan (chorizo, pineapple, red onion, and roasted jalapeño cream), and the Lamb Sausage (Pink Oak lamb, eggplant, and gaeta olives), all for a wallet-friendly price.

Thirsty Thursdays Cocktail Club at Bar Biscay
Bar Biscay's new Thirsty Thursdays Cocktail Club spotlights three different classic cocktails for $7 each, plus an educational component. Every Thursday, learn a bit about the cocktails from bar manager Archie Powell ("educational banter free of charge"), then grab one of the recipe postcards on the bar and bring it back the following week for a free cocktail. Upcoming cocktails include Negronis (March 14), old-fashioneds (March 21), and long drinks (March 28). The cocktail specials are available during the bar's open hours (3 p.m. to midnight).

Weekly Jazz Series with classic cocktails at The Dawson
Every Wednesday, The Dawson transforms its second floor into an intimate, candlelit jazz club. The new event series, Upstairs at The Dawson, features live music, a monthly rotating menu of specially-priced cocktails ($13) from the Prohibition era, and shareable dishes like chicken-fried lobster, Hamachi Tostada, and Texas redfish tacos, for guests who head upstairs. A rotating roster of up-and-coming artists and established acts will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. (no cover) and the series ends on March 27.
