The first 100 people to show up starting at 5 p.m. on October 4 will receive a free bowl of the restaurant's signature Tokyo Shoyu Ramen made with slices of grilled pork, bamboo shoots, greens, and red chile flakes. If you don't get there in time, you can still slurp down a bowl for $9.

Mexican and German flavors come together with a special menu offered through October 5, featuring a Jalisco bratwurst taco made with a tequila-spiked brat and ground arbol chile mustard ($4) and Revolution Brewing Oktoberfest ($5). Enjoy both with a shot of Maestro Dobel Diamond tequila for $12.

Your morning pick-me-up will feel extra good on September 29 when the coffee shop will be donating 10 percent of the day's proceeds to the Salt & Light Coalition, a Chicago-based nonprofit that helps women who've survived human trafficking. Use the occasion to try a new fall drink like the Caffe al Pepe, a latte made with honey, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg ($4.25 to $4.75). And heads up–their other cafe in River North is also part of the National Coffee Day event.

Sample five different Oktoberfest beers and then get a stein filled with your favorite at the bar's annual Oktoberfest party from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on October 3. The $28 tickets also include shots of Jameson Caskmates and German-inspired fare, including spaetzle mac and cheese and bratwurst. Live music from the Bratwurst Brothers completes the celebration.

Meet other female beer and cider lovers from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 27 at a fundraiser for GirlForward, hosted by Crafty Women Chicago. Order one of the dozen drinks on tap from Begyle Brewing, Virtue Cider, and others and $1 will be donated to organization's efforts to support refugees. You'll also have a shot at winning brewery tours and rare beers in a charity raffle.

Chicago VeganMania at Broadway Armory
Billed as one of the largest vegan events in Chicago, the tenth annual event features a massive food court, tons of samples, cooking demos, speakers, live music, and vendors. The fest runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 13, and a $5 donation is suggested.
