Thanksgiving Day feast at Grassroots Eatery
Skip the cooking and still get all your favorites on the big day at this farm-to-table spot. On November 23 from 2 to 8 p.m., they’ll be serving a three-course, family-style menu for $42. Guests choose between a smoked carrot soup or arugula salad for the first course, then a main course protein (the organic turkey roasted with thyme and rosemary is a must) and then choose between a brandied caramel apple crisp, pumpkin pie, or Boston cream pie cake for dessert. Traditional Thanksgiving sides are served family-style and include roasted garlic-mashed potatoes, house-made cranberry sauce, and porcini stuffing to name a few. Use your extra time to catch a show at the nearby Mercury Theater Chicago or Music Box Theatre.
