Take home the pizza dinner of your dreams, courtesy of Nancy Silverton and Mario Batali

A match made in pizza heaven, the dynamic collaboration of Nancy Silverton—one of LA’s most celebrated chefs—and New York big shots Mario Batali and restaurateur Joe Bastianich, has resulted in the Mozza empire. Earning raves from the likes of the Los Angeles Times and the New York Times, this all-star team has brought their celebrated thin crust pizzas from the West Coast to the Far East, with locations from LA to Singapore. Silverton’s years of experience in growing the iconic La Brea Bakery helped her create a special dough recipe that includes rye flour and malt, resulting in “crusts with extraordinary character,” according to Frank Bruni, critic and columnist for the New York Times.

With 2017 officially here, you can count on (at least) one thing to get excited about: With take-out or delivery at your service, Mozza2Go promises you can have mouthwatering pizza wherever you go. Angelenos who are eager to bring some of Nancy’s legendary fare straight home to the couch can just drop by Mozza2Go and take it to go. The original space on Melrose is small and as busy as ever, but call ahead or place your order online, and you can designate your pickup time for quick service even during peak hours—or have it delivered.
BBE subscribers have it even better, with a Mozza2Go exclusive package that runs just $49. It starts with your choice of any two pizzas from the menu (add $2 for Meat Lovers, burrata, or funghi misti) and a bottle of red or white wine. Silverton’s impeccable execution shines through even with Mozza2Go’s take-out counter experience, with burrata packed separately to ensure freshness and a note on each box to never microwave her wood-fired pies. With this BBE-only deal, you’ll also get Mozza’s famed butterscotch budino for a sweet ending to round out your meal. A sprinkling of sea salt and a dollop of whipped crème fraîche complete this simple yet perfect dessert, which LA Weekly has named as one of their 100 favorite dishes in all of Los Angeles.
