All your favorite Brooklyn foods in one place, for one day

When it comes to searching out the most worldly mix of cuisines in NYC, it’s hard to beat the one-two punch of Brooklyn‘s Williamsburg and Greenpoint. The adjoining neighborhoods are home to arguably the best and most diverse sampling of superior restaurants and vendors in the city, and the collective area has clinched its rep as a culinary mecca for eaters with a sense of adventure.

Typically, it’s tough to narrow your options to one delicious destination here, but on September 17, BBE is rigging the gastronomic game of chance in your favor by partnering with TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint for an outdoor eating event of epic proportions. Featuring bites, beers, wines, and signature cocktails from over 50 of Brooklyn’s top restaurants, bars, wineries, and breweries—including James Beard Award–winners and critically acclaimed favorites—the eighth annual TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint promises to be better than ever this year.

During this afternoon outing at scenic East River State Park, BBE subscribers with a Passcode can score 50 percent off the event’s “Firehouse” or “Firehouse Plus” tickets (normally $35 or $60), and have a create-your-own smorgasbord of either four or eight different tastes and two or four unique drinks.
Highlights to look for include draft cocktails from A Bar, hand-made pastas from Barano, mouthwatering fried chicken from Pies 'n' Thighs, oysters and cocktails from Maison Premiere, classic French comforts from Le Gamin, house-made savory meatballs from The Meatball Shop—plus Delaware and Hudson’s seasonal Mid-Atlantic regional cuisine, and classic pub fare from Teddy's Bar & Grill. Whether you opt for food from one of your favorite spots or something new from places you’ve always wanted to try, the quality, diversity, and sheer number of vendors will satisfy anyone’s appetite.

If you don’t already feel great about the idea of this, it gets even better: TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint benefits the funding of the development of the Firehouse North Brooklyn Community Center). Formerly the Engine Co. 212 firehouse, this nonprofit center will be dedicated to social justice and bringing together the melting pot of residents in the area. Proceeds from TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint will go toward renovating and transforming the firehouse into a thriving community center for exhibitions, events, and artistic activities, as well as hosting local nonprofits committed to helping Brooklynites.

Snag your tickets today to ensure your chance to attend this delicious end-of-summer soiree, all in support of an extraordinary cause.
